I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, DeepBlu loves December weddings! With the craziness of the holidays, it is so refreshing to spend time with your closest friends and family and celebrate a new life together. Amanda and Seth Davis did just that! They were married at the Balinese Ballroom in downtown Memphis on a Saturday afternoon in December and it was spectacular.

The Davis’s had a short and sweet ceremony with 100 of their loved ones at the Balinese Ballroom; then we transitioned to reception mode. For their mid-afternoon wedding, they chose to serve their guests heavy hors ‘devours for a more relaxed and casual reception. Everything the Balinese Ballroom does is fantastic, so of course their guests loved it.

After the new Mr. and Mrs. Davis had been announced into their reception and completed their first dances, they had some of their nearest and dearest give speeches in their honor. The Father of the Bride, Father of the Groom, Best Man, and Maid of Honor all said extremely kind words about the newlyweds that confirmed for everyone that this couple is the real deal.

Instead of a traditional cake, the couple served “bundtinis” from Nothing Bundt Cakes. If you have never tried these little pieces of heaven, head on over to Nothing Bundt Cakes and get you some! They are delicious!

To kick off the party part of the reception, the couple wanted their guests to have a little fun and get to know them better. They played a game where the bride and groom sit in chairs back to back, each holding one of each other’s shoes. We read off questions about either the bride or groom and they had to hold up the shoe of who the question fit best. It was a great opportunity to learn fun facts about the couple like who is the best cook and who hogs the remote. (feel free to change this if these aren’t the kinds of questions they asked)

The afternoon wrapped up in a sweet way and the new Mr. and Mrs. Davis left to enjoy the rest of their lives as husband and wife. Amanda and Seth, thank you so much for letting DeepBlu be a part of your special day! We had a blast and wish you both all the best!
