We over at DeepBlu are seriously some of the luckiest people in the world. We get to spend our weekends celebrating the most important day in couples’ lives. Believe me when I say, we DO NOT take that for granted! Now let’s set the scene for Emily and Thomas’s wedding day on December 30th of 2016. Jimmy got to celebrate with them at their Central Train Station reception in downtown Memphis.

This wedding had another all-star vendor team with Jon Sharman taking photographs, Kipp Cakes AND Mad Lily Cakery with the cakes, Club Windward catering, and Lynn Productions doing videography. A great group of vendors makes our job even more fun!

After the guests arrived for this evening reception, Jimmy was more than ready to get the party going. We started off by announcing the bridal party into the reception. Both Emily and Thomas had 5 attendants each, including their best man and maid of honor. After the bridal party was announced, it was Mr. and Mrs. Drake’s turn for their grand entrance and to begin their first dance as husband and wife.

Immediately after the first dances, the Drakes cut their cakes and the dance floor was open.

Once the dance floor is open at a wedding reception, guests always keep us on our toes. From packed dance floors during choreographed dances like The Wobble, to requests for Pop2k boy band music, and school fight songs, there is never a dull moment. That is just the way we like it!

Emily and Thomas decided to do a bouquet and garter toss, to (some) of their single friends’ chagrin. This is always a fun moment to witness as single ladies show their inner-linebacker and single men become incredibly apathetic.

After the bouquet and garter tosses and some more dancing, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Drake said their goodbyes to their loved ones and left to start their lives as husband and wife. We are incredibly grateful to have the best job in the world and celebrate with couples like the Drakes every week. Congratulations, Emily and Thomas!
