Some people are music fans, some people are metal fans. Some people like it all! Jennifer & Alix fall into the latter category (with a respectful nod to the metal). These two amazing people have been together for ten years, and on December 12th they officially put an end to one journey and started a brand new one! Therefore, it was no surprise to ANYONE that they would make it all official.

Due to the “big time” theme that they were trying to achieve, there was only one venue that fit their vision, and that was The Columns in downtown Memphis. Holly Hardin with Hardin House made sure that all of their magical ideas came to light. Holly and her husband Richard worked together with their team of highly skilled people to make sure that this wedding made the history books.

The entire main room was decorated exceptionally well, all the way down to the custom chuppah created just for Jennifer & Alix. They and their guests enjoyed a beautiful ceremony, with music by the DeepBlu Entertainment string trio and Jimmy Harris was their DJ. Jennifer & Alix's musical taste spans a lot of different genres including metal – usually not a palatable type of music for a wedding, but these two made sure to be very mindful with their selections. Their first dance song was by a band not typically known for their “power ballads”, Bring Me The Horizon, but their choice of song was as appropriate as it was original.

Along with Holly and Richard, our vendor team was superb! It included our friends Kevin & Sarah Barre of Kevin Barre Photography, flowers and rentals by Ashlye McCormick, catering by Paradox Catering & Consulting (great sushi by the way), and hair & make up by Sara Ison of Pavo Salon.

Thank you, Jennifer & Alix, for allowing me to be a part of your heavy metal wedding! I hope you two have many decades more of happiness, peace and love. Keep rockin'!
